Data Sheet AIRHOLD 10 CBS
Double-backed tape for holding honeycomb core during machining
DESCRIPTION
Airhold 10 CBS is a double-sided fabric reinforced tape with a rubber based adhesive on both sides. It is
designed specifically for holding honeycomb cores during machining while allowing the core to be removed
without residue. The thick adhesive coating ensures that the core is held firmly in position. Airhold 10 CBS is
suitable for use with metallic and non-metallic core. It can also be used to hold down plastic spiral wrap used as
a vacuum manifold in the resin infusion process.
@ BENEFITS
+ Rubber adhesive tape can be used where silicone adhesives are prohibited to reduce contamination risk.
+ Heavy duty tape provides strong hold for difficult items such as infusion spiral manifolds.
+ Fix position of materials to avoid process errors and improve part quality.

Data Sheet AIRDRAW 2
Embossed vacuum bag designed for rapid air removal
DESCRIPTION
Airdraw 2 vacuum bagging film is embossed with a “cracked ice” pattern which allows for rapid air removal
when placed under vacuum. The film has been formulated to provide increased stiffness to assist in maintaining
a breathable pattern.
Airdraw 2 is not affected by environmental conditions and will not soften in high humidity, allowing superior
breathability. It is designed primarily for ply compaction with the added benefits of not requiring a breather. It is
embossed from one side of the film, under close examination; the film has a flat side and a raised side. The outer
surface of the roll is the raised side. For best results, place the raised side against the part surface on top of a
perforated release film.
@ BENEFITS
+ Embossed pattern provides network of air passageways, eliminating need for separate layer of breather.
+ Improved stiffer formula keeps air path open resulting in better vacuum levels, faster.
+ Wide width makes compacting large parts even faster with no seams required.
@ TECHNICAL DATA

A8888
Release fabric
Ideally suited to medium temperature applications
Features and Benefits
Silicone coated nylon fabric.
Coated with heat cured silicone release solution, to
aid removal from the cured laminate.
Some phenolic resins are known to adhere to nylon
release fabrics, and it is therefore recommended that
the customer conduct their own internal compatibility
tests.
When using release fabrics on composite laminates
that will be subject to secondary bonding or painting
operations, there is a potential for minor transfer onto
the component, despite the release solution being fully
polymerised. It is therefore recommended that prior to
bonding or painting the laminate should be suitable
prepared (industry standard method is preparation by
slight abrading or sanding of the surface followed by
cleaning with an approved solvent).
