Use Instructions
Duratec products are manufactured to be used as is, directly out of the can. The right step may
be
adjusting your spray equipment tip size, rather than reducing the material.
However there are times reducing is necessary. In those situations we advocate reducing as
little as possible, start
ing with one ounce per quart.
(1)Thoroughly mix the Duratec product you plan to use. Most Duratec products require a
thorough mix for the product to be consistent. A paint shaker or drill mixer is best.
(2)If the viscosity of the Duratec is too high for spraying, add one ounce of Duratec Reducer per
quart. Mix and evaluate the viscosity. Usually no more than three ounces of Duratec Reducer are
necessary per quart.
(3)Catalyze and spray the Duratec once the desired result viscosity is achieved. For specific catalyst
information, please consult the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) of the Duratec product you are using.
FYI: Duratec Reducer 39UCE was formerly known as Duratec Thinner 39LAC-3. If you have material
labeled as 39LAC-3 on hand it is likely the product is outdated. Please reach out to our team.
Small additions of Duratec
Reducer quickly cut the viscosity
of Duratec p rimers and topcoats .
R EDUCED ORANGE PEEL
Enhances flow and leveli ng
properties of Duratec primers and
hi-gloss coatings, resulting in
reduced porosity and or
ange
peel.
PER FECT MATCH
Matches the original solvent cut, assuring complete compatibility .
F AST EVAPORATION
Does not extend the cure time of the sprayed- out Duratec.
Please reach out to our team.
mild, pleasant odor. It is widely used in formulating printing inks, adhesives, and lacquers.
It is a non-HAP solvent with excellent activity for most coating resins. Ethyl acetate is
miscible with most organic solvents and can be used in cleaner blends fo the removal of
oils, grease, and soils.
The chemical! substances for this product are listed as Inert Ingredients Permitted for Use
in Nonfood Use Pesticide Products, and in Food Use Pesticide Products with limitations,
